Type: Still Red Nouveau
Varieties: Pinot Noir / Gamay
Origin: Kaleden/Naramata
Viticulture:
The Pinot Noir was grown organically at Windy Ridge Vineyard in Kaleden. 30+ year old vines on the cliffside overlooking Skaha Lake. The Gamay was grown organically on Naramata Bench, on the east side of Okanagan Lake.
Winemaking:
Both varieties were left whole cluster to co-ferment together in closed top fermenters. The grapes went through a wild ferment and were gently foot treaded once a day. After 7 days the free run juice was racked into a separate tank to finish fermentation. No filtration, no fining, bottled by hand and with an addition of 10ppm of sulphur.
Tasting Notes:
I’m just going to be honest, this is straight up JUICE, meant for everyone to drink with a little chill on it. Put a straw in the bottle and have at er!
