Origin: Sagebrush Vineyard, Black Sage Bench, Okanagan Valley
Hand harvested from vines planted in 2008 on the Black Sage Bench. Currently in the second year of organic transition, Sage Brush Vineyard has sandy loam soils with an alluvial gravel bar running through our block.
Destemmed into open top fermenter. Whole berry fermented spontaneously for 30 days with one gentle punch down a day. Basket pressed into neutral oak. Aged in neutral oak for 10 months on lees without racking. Racked to stainless steel for another 3 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
